MOISTURE MEASUREMENT WARRANTY
Most of our brands offer you the chance to extend your camper's waterproof warranty to 5, 7 or even 10 years (depending on the brand). In concrete terms, this means that the manufacturer will bear the costs of repairs, which can be high, if you have damage due to water infiltration during that period. There is only one task you need to do to benefit from this warranty: have an annual moisture measurment check. If you do not do this, the moisture measurement warranty in your camper will lapse. The checks themselves are not covered by the warranty, but repairs of any damage are. So we cannot emphasize enough how important it is to have this annual check performed.

MOISTURE MEASUREMENT CHECK
Water infiltration has become exceptionally rare thanks to modern construction techniques. But if it does occur, the impact and damage is enormous, as are the costs of repairs. After all, moisture is a silent killer and you usually only notice it too late that your motorhome has a moisture problem. If the damage becomes visible or you experience structural problems, it has usually been going on for years. However, thanks to periodic checks, we can prevent things from getting to this point and usually solve the problem with a short and minor repair. So it is crucial to be quick!

During the moisture measurement check, one of our specialists thoroughly checks the humidity level in predetermined places in the roof, walls and bottom of your motorhome. He then compares these values ​​with the values ​​specified by the manufacturer. This way we can detect any moisture problems in a timely manner and, with minor intervention, prevent major problems.

We offer two types of moisture measurement checks: a basic check or an extensive check. We recommend alternating them annually and therefore having an extensive check done every two years.

1. BASIC CHECK
This check only concerns the moisture measurement check imposed by the manufacturer: the delicate places in the motorhome such as the roof, walls and floor are checked in all corners, including around doors, windows, roof hatches, service hatches, grilles, etc.

2. EXTENDED CHECK
We take a much deeper look in this extensive check. In addition to the moisture measurement guarantee, we check all vital points (including appliances and parts) of your motorhome, with the intention that you can enjoy your beautiful motorhome without any worries for a year. This is how we check, among other things: your batteries and charger, lighting, refrigerator, water pump, gas system, locks, windows, etc...

STEP-BY-STEP PLAN:

1. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT
We will send you an annual reminder to make an appointment for the moisture measurement check. This must be done between two months before and two months after the first registration. The reminder email is sent every year two months before the first registration of your motorhome and the check must be carried out within 4 months of receiving the email.

​Once you have received the email, you can make an appointment at the workshop planning via planning@vanomobil.be or 056/43 19 95.
Additional repairs can only be carried out at the same time, if agreed upon when making the appointment.

2. EMPTY THE MOTORHOME BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT
To make this check as efficient as possible, we kindly ask that you empty all cupboards, drawers, suitcases and other storage spaces on the ceiling or floor before you bring in the camper so that our technician can carry out an optimal check.

3. BRING THE CAMPER IN ON THE DATE AND TIME AS ARRANGED
The moisture measurement check takes about 1 to 2 hours. It is therefore possible to continue waiting and we do everything we can to make the wait as pleasant as possible. We do our best to make the waiting area as pleasant as possible and offer good WIFI and a nice cup of coffee. It is even possible to use bicycles if you would like to get some fresh air (but it is best to reserve these in advance).

4. AFTER 2 HOURS YOU CAN TAKE THE CAMPER BACK HOME
