How do you get your C1 driver's license?
A driving license B is in principle sufficient if you want to go out with your motorhome. But do you like something heavier, a little more luxurious, a little more space, and a little more storage? Then you better get your C1 driving license!
GETTING A C1 DRIVING LICENSE IS CHILD'S PLAY!
The C1 driving license is specifically for vehicles with a maximum permitted mass (MTM) between 3.5 tons and 7.5 tons. So you don't have to immediately get a truck driver's license to be able to drive a heavier motorhome.
You can easily get your C1 driver's license in these 5 simple steps:
1. Take a 7-hour theory course (or self-study at home) to brush up on the traffic regulations, get to know the highway code for C1 drivers and adapt your driving behavior to the changing traffic conditions.
2. Theoretical exam.
3. Medical examination: sounds serious, but this is a simpel visit to a doctor who will test your eyes, ears, reflexes and balance.
4. 8 hours of practical lessons in which you learn to maneuver.
5. Practical exam consisting of a fixed course, supplemented with a 45-minute ride on public roads.
